This xray is of a 6 year old whose dysplasia of the right hip was not treated. The A arrow shows where the top of the femur head is located. The B arrow shows where the bottom of the femur head should be located. The socket is not developed like the left socket. At this age, many doctors will prefer to perform a femoral osteotomy.
